Sometime it just happens… the inspiration isn’t present, the mind goes blank, and nothing can be written. Happens to all writers – Dose included!
It seemed the harder I tried to put words on paper, the fewer letters I typed. My editor was waiting for the next dose. Readers were asking if I was ever to write again. And my website designer was thinking, “After all this work I did, she doesn’t post?”
Self-inflicted created pressure and deadlines ultimately led to the stalling of my repertoire of work.
It seems that the more pressure to do something, the more it doesn’t or just can’t happen. Happens to all people –right?
So what was the Dose to do? The one thing every writer does: write! They write. They write every single day. They write a few words, or a few paragraphs. Every. Single. Day.
Sometimes the solutions are so simple, it’s all a matter of common sense and persistence.
Roadblocks happen, but it doesn’t mean the road trip is over. Keep the engine running… you’ll eventually get there!
