It’s that time again… Valentine’s Day, the day we recognize and celebrate those we love.
Let me nitpick for a minute: Why are we marketed to show love on just one day? Who came up with red roses as a sign of love? What is love anyway?
Love has been considered an emotion… a feeling that, may the Dose add, is attached with action. As love without action is just empty words – cheap talk.
Expressive actions of love can be so diverse, ensuring a unique fit with the one you belove, behold, and be for!
As for Valentine’s Day … it is the noted day to wear red, receive flowers, chocolates, and a card. People rush out to restaurants to do the thing that is expected.
Yet love is more than all of this.
And with that, Valentine’s Day has got nothing on the love that everyday true love provides.
Love, in its true sense, doesn’t need a day to be celebrated – it needs more than that.
True love is an unconditional gift in itself.
Don’t miss it, don’t ignore it, don’t neglect it – on any day!
