Connecting with new people is a part of life. Such people can be met at school, work, or social gatherings. Some of these strangers become friends, and possibly mates – of the marrying kind, too. Basically, this is the start of a relationship.
For some of us, or maybe just me, starting a relationship with a likeminded person or potential mate is so exciting that we just can’t help but rush into the process. Once that fire of connection is lit, some of us can’t get enough of that other person – especially when the connection is of the romantic nature. Questions arise: When do I see them again? Now or one second from now?!
The Dose is a romantic and wants nothing other than to put on the wedding dress on the second date!
My mother saw that side of me, and she always knew that that bonfire would die soon after the flame was lit. She would remind me that only the steady fire burns forever.
Lighting the fire is easy, keeping the flame lit takes time, care, and attention… the same goes with connecting and developing relationships!
