The Dose loves all facets of summer – taking time off, hosting BBQs, and blowing soap bubbles. Little did I know that the simple bubble wand of my childhood years is not only not in vogue, it’s considered boring… even to my two-year old nephew Mikie!
As I dipped the wand in the bottle of liquid soap and blew through the wand’s circle, Mikie looked at his Aunty confused and definitely uninterested. Apparently the battery operated bubble maker at his house produced more bubbles, bigger than my little wand could muster.
Have the simple things in life been taken over by costly inventions?
Back in the lazy days of summer, I used to make doll clothes, create art with chalk, and play jump rope and ball. Despite the limits back then, the Dose grew up learning how to be innovative, creative, and resourceful.
