Mirror, mirror, on the wall…

how am I perceived by all?

As I look in the mirror, the Dose can’t help but see only what I want to see or what I fear to see. The mirror echoes back to my eyes but the image is then filtered through my brain… and there is the start of a possible distortion!

When the brain processes the visual, preconceived notions enter the mix, adding into the reflection and muddling with reality. This holds true for what I see and certainly what others see about me.

And, let’s face it, the same thing happens when others look at you. People assess you through their own eyes, microscope, and telescope. It’s their view, vision, and interpretation of who you are, regardless of what you say or show. No matter how you rejig your being, you cannot control how others will perceive you.

As for mirrors – they just reflect back – no commentary included.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall… you are the only honest one of all!
