Out of Order

No lie, I once stopped in at a Starbucks only to note the sign: Out of coffee.

Then there was the day I walked into a bank to make an in-person withdrawal, and the teller informed me they didn’t have money. No lying here either.

A coffee shop without coffee and a bank without cash. Odd… but not considered so for the Dose.

You see, I’m associated with expectations as well… expectations to inspire, encourage, or downright entertain and/or engage others.

However, the Dose, too, can be fresh out of whatever I need to serve up.

It happens. Shops run out of beans, banks don’t receive the proper supply of funds to shell out, and sometimes the Dose is, well, basically exhausted. All three need to be replenished!

So, like the coffee shop and the bank, going back to the well is what I need. My source to refuel is found in rest.

This downtime, quiet time, alone time, allows me to regroup, renew, and refresh… all to restock my supply in order to dole it out to others!

Starbucks, the bank, the Dose–and you for that matter–can only provide what is stored within.

Take time to fill up so that you can be ready to serve up!
