I find it interesting that despite large warning signs that smoking kills, people still smoke.
Smoking cigarettes is known to be habitual whereas the tobacco is addictive. The marriage of these two seemingly make it harder, I would imagine, to quit.
Noting such a warning sign that is irrelevant to me, the Dose got thinking… what habit or addiction do I have to cause my body harm? Or, more importantly, what am I not doing that is causing my body harm?
It is known that sedentary behaviors and poor eating lead to negative outcomes.
Though my eating habits are aligned with the recommendations, I must confess that my so-so sedentary lifestyle has become my “smoking.”
It is also known that stress can lead to the release of all sorts of negative substances produced by the body that ultimately break a body down.
As for my stress level… well, let’s just say that stress reduction is a lifelong process. I’m grateful for my humor that kicks in to help minimize most stressful situations.
Harmful habits are ubiquitous. But sometimes we choose one bad habit to think of as “my only vice,” that for some reason we are “excused” from… says who?
Let’s fess up and give up that bad act.

What a good pep talk!!!! Now I just have to take action!
Jean, it is the taking action that is a great step, yet not an easy step. As they say “take one day at a time.” Hopefully a better habit will be developed! 🙂
