It has been said that there is a set up with every comedic story.
Though this story is not funny, it can be considered intriguing.
Way back when the Dose was summering between graduating high school and starting my first year of college, my father suggested I take a creative writing course at a community college.
Let it be known that my college major was in the life sciences, not communications.
I’m clueless to this day as to why my dad made this suggestion. Regardless, I recall loving the class… and I even remember a sentence or two from one of my written stories!
During my college years I was crowned “co-editor” of the school’s newspaper. Back then I had zero experience with any of these related tasks, but I persevered with great passion.
Fast forward to my professional career… here I “fell” into areas that allowed me to flourish in the world of communications – not specific to writing, but enough experience to further my path and guide me to today as an author and content creator.
This all reinforces my belief that those seemingly insignificant experiences from the past can play into the future.
Do your future well by acting on your today!
