Bumper stickers are interesting reading, especially when sitting in traffic.
Some are funny. Some reflect the car owner. Yet there are others that are thought provoking… just like this one:
What if your dreams are where your fears lie?
Interesting thought that the Dose enjoys pondering. And I must confess that many dreams have led me to face my fears.
As a little girl I wanted to be an actress… to be on stage with a spotlight and microphone. With that dream came stage fright. Though I never got to be in the performing arts, my college work included a course on how to deliver presentations to healthcare professionals… not exactly an easy crowd! While the dream of being on stage was not (possibly yet) fulfilled, the fear was conquered… a dream in and of itself.
And now I see that whatever dream I have, there are frightening obstacles that can either cause the Dose to dismiss the dream or ultimately persevere and conquer.
Most dreams come to fruition through motivation and drive… unless they are dreamt through a “pipe!”
If your dream awaits you in your field of fear… well, now, wouldn’t entering that land be a small price to pay for such a triumph?
