Why? Why? Why?

Sounds like the start of a dose from a 2 year old! But it’s not… it’s the Dose pondering the “whys” of life. And, sad to say, I’ve got theories but no answers to the infamous question “Why do bad things happen to good people?”

Back in 2003, the company employing me was running out of funds. Every month an employee or two was being let go. My turn for the pink slip was in August of that year. Bad. Bad. Bad.

Flash-forward four months later, my career was catapulted beyond belief when I was hired by a company that laid the foundation for my professional success. Good. Good. Good.

Bad happens… I just need to make good out it. That I can do, well, at some point after the whining, grieving, temper tantrum is over.

After pondering this infamous question, the Dose has re-worded the question to what I believe is truth – “Why do perceivably bad things happen to good people?” There has never been a situation that I have not experienced the good out of bad – it’s all been a matter of time.

Lemonade is made out of lemons; “Life” can come from “death”… just wait and see.
