A car is no baby, but some of us treat our car like one, particularly a new car.
Upon observation, folks with a new car seem to drive more carefully, park far from the other cars in a lot, and keep the inside and outside of the car clean at all times.
As one who owned one car for thirty years (!), the Dose can appreciate the new car safety features that provide over-the-top accident prevention.
Someone in my blind-spot – I’ve got a monitor to warn me with blinking lights. Backing up in a parking lot with lots of people – that back-up camera shows me all so that no one gets hurt.
I love it all.
Yet I still find my number one critical safety device – one that has been a staple to many, most, all cars since the early 1900’s – is the horn. Located on the steering wheel, the horn provides a very quick and loud notification of possible danger.
The function of new car safety features are dependent upon computers. The function of the old, trusty horn relies on complete driver alertness.
Regardless of the car you drive, be vigilant, keep your hands on the wheel, and turn down the volume… new safety feature lights need to be seen and horns need to be heard!

Catching up on the blog today as it is cloudy and gloomy and I need more than one shot of “The Dose”.
Thank you, Donna for all of these. Each one serves as its own “BEEP” to wake me up into more thoughtful and deliberate living. ❤🙏
